To better understand the history of this company, we need to take a step back in time...
Towards the end of the 1980s, the owner, Derry, decided to travel the world in search of rare indigenous genetics, which led him to the Himalayas, where he spent about three years, together with a group of people with whom he shared his passion.
These were years of intense work, where he devoted himself to perfecting all the seeds he had at his disposal.
Only after building up a large collection based on different phenotypes such as flavours, aromas and THC levels did he return to the Netherlands where he opened his first Barney's Coffee Shop.
Right from the start, this seed bank became a very successful organisation worldwide, winning many international awards such as the famous Cannabis Cups!
