Let's get to know each other a little...
If the history of human adventure is thousands of years old, Cannabis is no less so. How many of us actually know the history and properties of this plant, which poor thing over so many centuries has had to fight against a definition that does not suit it? There are many clichés that have always accompanied the properties of this plant, but like the roots of the strongest willow tree that is able to weather the storm and be stronger than before, Cannabis has managed to survive over the centuries until the present day, where it has finally obtained the merits it has always deserved, overcoming even those clichés that do not suit it, thanks to its functions and benefits for mankind. That said, let us get to know it better, starting with its history.
Cannabis or hemp, belongs to that genus of plants "Angiospermsthat is, those plants defined as 'evolved', with true flowers and protected seeds.
Native to Central Asia, it is assumed to have reached the Americas after the arrival of Columbus. Its plants are useful for producing seeds for food and are plants capable of sexual reproduction.
Chemically, cannabis, is characterised by CBD, which in turn contains CBDA, which distinguishes hemp intended for industrial and therapeutic use. the chemotype indicated with THC is intended to produce inflorescences, and medicaments.
From the second half of the last century, plants destined for essentially agro-industrial uses, i.e. the CBDA genotype, were selected in France, Poland and Russia.
To date, a list of 66 cultivable varieties is known, thanks to the European Commission, as long as the content does not exceed 0.2%.
