Oil extracted from cannabis can be used as a biodiesel. Biodiesel.
Henry Ford in 1973 built a car, or rather a prototype car, made entirely of hemp. It ran on ethanol. Six years later, unfortunately, Ford died and because of prohibitionism, the car was never tested and put into production.
Curiosities
During the prohibition period, many believed that it was implemented as a ploy related to competition between the emerging chemical oil industries and the possibility of using oil as fuel. The use of hemp in the automotive industry was taken up by the British company Lotus in the 2000s.
