Many were the uses of this plant before prohibition. From its stem it was possible to make paper, textile fibres, plastic fibres and natural fertilisers.
Various uses were made of it in medicine, as the leaves and flowers of the plant were mainly used. The leaves were mainly used for anti-inflammatory purposes, thus replacing many drugs in vogue at the time.
Even cosmetics became aware of this miraculous plant and realised that creams, shampoos and body soaps could be produced. But this production will still need more time before it really gets going.
